Fellowships

Recently, there has been a growing demand for physicians who can offer specialized expertise in various areas of Emergency Medicine. The Department of Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital is pleased to offer six unique fellowship opportunities. Our one-year Sports Medicine Fellowship and two-year Toxicology Fellowship are fully ACGME-accredited programs. Fellows in our one-year Ultrasound training program will be eligible for RDMS registration. Our Emergency Medicine Research Fellows will have the opportunity to work in the NCRR funded General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) at the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, a state of the art science research facility. Our Critical Care Fellowship offers intensive training in the treatment of critically ill patients. We also have International Emergency Medicine Programs in Thailand, Peru and India. We are pleased to offer such a variety of training and educational opportunities for Emergency Medicine physicians.
