Emergency Medicine Fellowships

Fellowship in Ultrasound

The North Shore Fellowship in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound is a one-year program designed to develop expertise in all emergency ultrasound applications. Fellows work 2 clinical shifts per week and are expected to spend the rest of their time mastering these ultrasound examinations and assisting in education, research and quality assurance for the department. Fellows will be eligible for RDMS accreditation. They are expected to complete at least one research project and present at a national Emergency Medicine meeting. The goal is to produce experts and leaders in the field of emergency medicine ultrasound who can ultimately develop and maintain an emergency department division of ultrasound and/or emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship. Preference is given to recent graduates of an ACGME accredited emergency medicine residency.
